I am going to try to do something new.  I am going to put up at least one new piece each week, a completed piece.  I am hoping that will help me push to do more.  I have been having problems the past few months outside of work that have kept me from working much. Due to stress and my own health I have been extra stressed out. My wanting to paint, has been reduced to very little. Since I do this for a living, my own pocket book has been taking quite a hit.  I have been surviving week to week on what little I do, and the help of others.  Surviving is no fun, it has kept me alive, but not "living."  So I am trying everything I can think of to get more work done.  I am going to put up a new piece each week, hoping that it will give me more motivation to keep working.  As of right now, my motivation is pretty good.  So I don't see it being a problem, but I think with this added it will keep me going longer.  I guess I will use this like a blog.  I am hoping some people will see what I am doing and like the work I am doing.  But I don't think it matters if anyone sees it or not, as long as I keep working and turn my surviving into living.  I have learned that each step helps and is moving forward, even those that seem to be a step back.  As long as I keep trying and stepping forward after each step, I will keep moving forward.
See ya later, and thanks for the fish.

Now working as a professional miniature painter, painting historical miniatures with mostly World War Two. I am wanting critiques of my work to help me improve. Comments on my pieces or just about miniatures in general are always appreciated as I like to talk "shop" with other miniature painters. Also sharing tips and tricks in this hobby to better each other.

Thanks a lot!  I keep forgetting to take pictures before sending them off to customers.  I will try to get more work up here.

Thanks!  The basing starts off with medium ballast, and then is painted a few colors.  Then I put on layers of static grass, flock, or tufts.  Sometimes all three.  It is working out a lot better than how I used to do it.  I am really liking it now, and appreciate the comment!

All I can tell you is try things out.  When I first started out trying to make my basing better, I took several flat rectangles and tried different things.  I took ideas I had heard about or seen elsewhere and tried to recreate it with my own touch.  I found testing it out on something that you don't have to keep or worrying about ruining helps a lot.  You use a bit of basing material to work on them, but in the end you can learn a lot.  I hope I helped a little bit, and if you come up with any ideas or questions, just ask away.  I am more than happy to talk shop!

Thanks a lot!  It's been a crazy time for me right now,  trying to get out of a bad living enviroment, while still painting for work.  Not a lot has been done, and am finding it hard to get motivation to work on painting.  I am hoping I can get some work done and hopefully start posting again.   I appreciate the birthday wishes, it means a lot right now, more than you probably realize.
